Edward Stone, a retired farmer who had lived for the last 19 years in Wabash at the Lawrence L. Wallace home, 324 West Hill Street, died Friday morning at 10:45 o'clock in the Wabash County hosptial. Mr. Stone had been ill for about 10 weeks and died of complications.
He was born five miles north of Wabash April 22, 1862, the son of William and Elizabeth (Thomas) Stone. He was never married.
Mr. Stone first belonged to the Bachelor Creek Church of Christ and later transferred his membership to the Wabash Christian church.
Survivors include four other nieces and nephews including William A. Wallace, Wabash, Mrs. Virgil Knowles, South Gate, Calif., Ross Stone, La Mesa, Calif., and Mrs. C.B. Ireland, Wabash. Mr. Wallace, with whom the decedent lived, was also a nephew.
The body was taken to the Jones Funeral home and funeral arrangements are not complete.
