Born April 29, 1910, to William and Lillian Meritt Carr, she was a lifelong member and pianist of Oak Grove Methodist Church, subsequently Center Grove Methodist Church, and 60-year member of the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service.
She was predeceased by her husband, David Newton White.
Survivors include five daughters, Helen Corley, Ruthe Venable, and Karen Atchley, all of Sheridan, Louise Lee of Chesapeake, Va., and Linda Melnick of Austin, Texas; one son, David Newton White Jr. of Hot Springs; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
