CLYDE SPENCER

Clyde Spencer, 76, died at Porter Memorial hospital at 3 a. m. Thursday after a short illness.

He was born October 20, 1883 in Jasper county, the son of Eli Spencer and Nancy Bell LaCount, and married Maude Easterday in 1906 in Valparaiso. A retired Washington township farmer, he had lived in the Valparaiso area all his life.

Besides the widow his survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Lois) Gast, Mrs. Eileen Tucker and one son, Richard, all of Valparaiso; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren, and two brothers Clair and Jerome, also of Valparaiso.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, five brothers and two sisters.

Services will be held Saturday at 3 p. m. at the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. L. E. Myers officiating.

Friends may call at the LePell Funeral home from 7 p. m. this evening until noon Saturday, after which the body will lie in state at the Church of the Nazarene from noon until time of services.

Burial will take place in Kimball cemetery.
