Services for Roger N. Abbott, 35, of 310 North St., Sparta, will be Friday at 10.30 a m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sparta. The Rev. Bernard Kelly will officiate. Burial will be in the Cataract Cemetery. Friends may call at the Page-Smith Funeral Home in Sparta after 4pm today, and until 10 15 a m. on Friday. There will be a prayer service tonight at 7:30 p m. with the Rev. Ortwin Hanson officiating, and a Rosary at 8 p m. Both will be in the funeral home. Abbott died Tuesday, March 27. in a traffic accident He was born March 7, 1944 to Archie and Nellie (Millard) Abbott, in Melrose. On Sept. 23, 1973 he married Carmen Schur in Sparta. He was employed by the Standard Material Co. in Sparta. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Roger, Daniel. Patrick and Todd; one daughter, Shawna, his mother, Mrs. Nellie Abbott of Sparta; six sisters, Mrs Herbert (Bonnie) Hanson of Gervias, Ore., Mrs. Jerry (Betty) Colleran of Fairfax, Va., Mrs. Henry (Naomi) Goff of Mexico, Miss.. Mrs Charles (Elizabeth) Goff of La Crosse, Kenneth (Leona) Rhimer of Sparta, and Miss Linda Abbott of Sparta; three brothers, Charles of Mexico City, Miss., and Samuel and Milo, both of Sparta. He was preceded in death by his father, and two sisters.
