Ernest "Red" Cornman, 68, of Templeton RD 1 died Tuesday, June 4, 1985, at his home. Born April 8, 1917, in Bocketville, he was the son of John H. and Christina Ann (Croyle) Cornman. He was a disabled laborer of the Pennsylvania Railroad. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was an avid citizens band radio user with the handle of Big Muskie. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane (John) Cornman: five sons, Thomas of Marionville, Ernest Stanley, Dwayne and Richard A., all of Templeton RD1 and Jack of Ford City; eight daughters, Mrs. Russell (Pat) Stitt of Kittanning, Mrs. Edward (Eva) Steffy of Templeton RD2, Mrs. Kenneth C. (Helen) Schall Jr. of Rural Valley RD1, Mrs. Larry (Nancy) Slagle of Templeton RD1, Mrs. Jose (Diane) Motta of Stroudesburg, Mrs. Larry (Jean) Chestnut of Templeton RD 1, Janice Cornman of Tempelton RD 1 and Mrs. Richard (Anita) Kunkle; two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Barb) Yount of Kittanning RD6 and Mrs. T. W. (Nettie) Gray of Kittanning RD1; 37 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles N. Cornman, who died January 14, 1969; one grandson; six brothers; and five sisters. CORNMAN - Friends of Ernest "Red" Cornman, 68, of Templeton RD 1, who died Tuesday, June 4, 1985, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 tom 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Kennedy Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harry Fink officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Creek Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements are by Kennedy
