ASAHEL C. BECKWITH, EX-RESIDENT DIES
Word had been received here today of the death of Asahel C. Beckwith, native of Ashtabula, at his home, 1255 Valley-av. Baker, Ore., on Sept. 21 Mr. Beckwith a nurseryman, had lived in Baker for the past 25 years.
He was born in Ashtabula March 11, 1869. He had worked as a nurseryman most of his life. Mr. Beckwith is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nellie Beckwith; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Mabel) Caviness of Durkee, Ore., and Mrs. Walter (Alice) Perkins of Baker; two brothers, Alden Beckwith of Saybrook and Lester of Geneva, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Baker with Rev. Len Fishback of Baker Christian Church officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Baker.
