CLAXTON H. VEAL

VEAL, CLAXTON H., Went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2009.

He was a veteran of World War II. He retired from Scott Foresman Publishing Company in Atlanta and resided in Beaufort, S.C. where he was an active member of The Baptist Church of Beaufort until moving to Birmingham in 2005, where he resided at Mt. Royal Towers until his death.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Virginia Young Veal, and two sons, Monte R. Veal (Mary Alice) and William C. "Buzz" Veal (Dell), along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He will be buried at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Montevallo Alabama, on Friday, December 4, 2009.

The family suggests that those desiring to make memorials in his memory do so with the organization of their choice.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Mt. Royal Towers for their dedicated service to all in their care.
