Founder of the Sarawak Rangers: In 1891 established the Sarawak Museum in Borneo. Ruled as the head of State of Sarawak. Following three strokes over a period of ten years. He was named as the successor of this small country on the coast of Borneo, As the Second White Rajah. By his Uncle Sir James Brooke, to succeeded him. Charles adopted his Uncles's last name. Born to Rev. Francis Charles Johnson, his mother was the youngest sister of Sir James Brooke, Emma Frances
( Brooke ) Johnson. Charles adopted his uncles last name.
