"OBITUARY"


John Haller Crume, 41, died suddenly at 12:15 Sunday morning in his home at 2003 Leininger, soon after he retired upon returning from the home of a neighbor, where he had spent the evening. Following the fatat seizure, the city ambulance, with inhalator, was summoned, but death ensued before its arrival at the home.
For 3 weeks Mr. Crume had not been able to work at his job as an electric welder at the Godfrey Conveyor Co., because of eye trouble. The body is at the Dale White chaple, 129, South Second, where the service will be conducted at 2 p. m. Tuesday by the Rev. Delbert B. Flora of the Firat Brethren church. Burial will be in Rice cemetery.
Mr. Crume was born Feb. 19, 1901, at Kirkland, Ill., the son of George Albert and Maude (Haller) Crume, who now are resident of Elkhart. He was married to Violet Trowl of Goshen on Sept. 28, 1918, and they lived in Goshen for 2 years before moving to Elkhart. Surviving him besides the parents and the widow are 3 daughters, Mrs. Robert (Gwendolyn) Kenaga of Elkhart and Norma Jeanne and Barbara Ann Crume, at home, and a son Pvt. John H. Crume, who is station in the army air corps in Hawaii.
