"OBITUARY"


Former Elkhartan, George A. Crume, 91, died at the Brethren Church Home in Flora, Ind. Friday.
Formerly of 711 Cleveland, Mr. Crume was a member of the First Brethren Church in Elkhart. He was born on Sept. 2, 1875, near Howe, Ind.
He and his wife, Edith Maude Haller, moved to the church home in 1955. They were married kn Dec. 6, 1899, and lived in Elkhart 35 years. Mrs. Crume died in 1958.
Mr. Crume was a retired employe of the Elkhart Brass Company.
Surviving are two brothers, Earl M. of Elkhart, and John W. of South Whitley, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Lem Poyser and Mrs. Hovey Harrington, both of Elkhart, and Mrs. Will Preston of Constantine; eight grendchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.
Friend may call after 7 p.m. Monday at the White Funeral Home where services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Burial will be in Rice Cemetery.

John was the second of eleven children born to the Rev. John Henry and Sarah Elizabeth (Mawhorter) Crume. He married Edith Maude Haller on Dec 6, 1899 in De Kalb Co., IL. To this union were born two children. A son John Haller Crume and a daughter Gladys Elizabeth Crume.
