Lyda Jane Pelton Bice was the daughter of Plina Isabelle (Carpenter) Pelton & Charles Walter Pelton. Their children were: John Henry (1892-1956), Clyde Joseph (twin, 1895-1968), Lyda Jane (twin, 1895-1979), Charles Leonard (1898-1945), Gladys (abt 1901-abt 1930) and Mabel (1904-1980).

She married George Franklin Bice on Oct. 25, 1913. They had five children: Mabel (McElvogue), Evelyn (Quillam), Marie, Kenneth (Hazel), and Bessie (Kingery).

Lyda had a very easy-going, content personality. She loved her family and loved being teased by her grandsons.
