Lorene Atchley, age 92, of Harrison, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at Apple Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Harrison.

She was born January 23, 1918, in Gaither, Arkansas, the daughter of Jim T. and Eva Mae (Curnutt) Atchley, Sr.

Miss Atchley was preceded in death by her parents; her three brothers, Flem Atchley of Berryville, Arkansas and Elam Atchley and Ray Atchley, both of Harrison; and her four sisters, Minnie Atchley of Clovis, New Mexico, Amo Redus of Dallas, Texas, and Mary Perl Johnson and Leota Edwards, both of Harrison.

Lorene was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Edith Martin Sunday School Class.

Lorene Atchley is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, J. T. and Inis Mae Atchley; her sister and brother-in-law, Betty Ruth and Mike Malham, of Jacksonville, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends throughout the community.

Lorene's nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.
