William Joe Armstrong was the son of George and Helen Armstrong. He had worked for the city of Amarillo Parks and Recreation Department. He was a MD patient who no matter what kept his spirits high. A great person with alot of spunk and joy to offer the world. He never gave up and in the end, was the one who chose his destiny. Now he is in heaven with his mother, father and brother, and he can finally RUN again. He will be truly missed.

He was cremated and at his request his ashes will be spread at his favorite place, Thompson park in Amarillo, TX.

Survivors include a son, James Brooks of Fritch; two brothers, Steve Armstrong of Amarillo and Jack Armstrong of Huntsville; a sister, Rita Armstrong of Amarillo; and two grandchildren.
