Final rites for Heber J. Bennett, who was killed by a bolt of lightning Monday afternoon while working turpentine on his father's farm near Millwood, were held yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Hargreaves Chapel, with Elder O. H. Hawkins and Elder James Boone, both of Jacksonville, and Elder Merrill Higgs of Axson, officiating. Interment was in the Hargreaves Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Billy Fussell, Arman Mizell, Kenneth Bennett, Folks Bennett, Conrad David and Dane Bennett.
Honorary pallbearers were Irwin Davis, Fry Davis, Aaron Mizell, Lon Mizell, H. G. Sharpe, Willie Bennett, Crystal Davis, Marion Mercer, Charles Branch and Parlie Davis.
Mincy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
