Mrs. Arvilla Bennett White, 84, died Sunday morning (Oct. 15, 2006) at her daugher's residence in Savannah after an extended illness.

She is a native of and has lived most of her life in Ware County. She was a former employee of Swain Manufacturing, graduated from Manor High School in 1942, and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Pearson.

She is the daughter of the late Elias Bennett and Heneritta Herrin Bennett. She is the wife of the late Lloyd White, Sr. She is also preceded in death by a son, Richard Kimble White.

Survivors include two daughters, Norma J. Cribbs (husband Darrell) of Savannah, and Janell Griffin (husband James) of Jesup; two sons, Lloyd White, Jr. (wife Dollie) of Millwood, and Delbert O. White of Savannah; a brother, Leland Bennett of Millwood; 12 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 18, 2006) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Pearson. Burial will follow in Hargraves Chapel Cemetery in Millwood. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Music Funeral Home.
