Joseph was born Dec. 20, 1880 in Utah to John Hemmelwright of Georgetown, PA and Margret Eveline Woolsey of Armory, Utah. He was 36 years 6 months and 17 days old when he passed away with Chronic Valvular heart disease on July 7th, 1917.

He was a fire boss at the coal mine.

He was married but doesn't list his wife's name.

He was buried at Sunnyside on July 8, 1917.

Donna Christensen Molgard stated that he married Henrietta Amelia. Henrietta had first married a Johnston, then married Joseph. They had 6 children. Third husband was a Mott and fourth was her deceased sister's husband and Donna's
grandfather, Lester Christensen.
