William J. Bearden, 96, of Pekin passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at Hallmark House Nursing Center.
William was born to Edward and Nancy Potter Bearden; he married Eva E. Hudson in Washington on Nov. 27, 1943. She preceded him in death on Jan. 25, 2004.
Also preceding him in death were three sisters and one brother.
William is survived by his brother, David D. Bearden; and sisters, Flossie Sellers and Elsie Miller.
He worked as a construction engineer at Commonwealth Edison, retiring in 1978. He also worked at Holly Sugar Co. in Brawley, Calif., and the Bear-den Inn in Pekin from 1944 to 1948.
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
