Flossie I. Sellers, age 89, went to God's Heavenly home on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Walnut Grove of Lake Geneva.
Born on September 17, 1921 in Pekin, IL, she was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Nancy G. (Potter) Bearden. She was a graduate of Pekin High School and came to Kenosha in 1948.
On September 6, 1940 in South Pekin, IL, she was married to Robert Sellers. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1998.
Flossie was employed at AMC for 12 years, retiring on 1984. Prior to AMC, she was employed for 19 years with Kenosha Elks Club as a waitress and hostess.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Kenosha, the UAW Local 72 Retirees and also enjoyed taking trips with the Kenosha Friendly Center. Flossie was always available to help out her friends by taking them to appointments or run errands. She also used her talents to crochet hats for the newborns at local hospitals and share homemade meals with her family.
She is survived by her four children, Karen (Gerry) Reuter of Silver Lake, Barry (Maureen) Sellers of Wilmington, MA, Bob (Kim) Sellers, Jr. of Kenosha and Janie (Tom) Kohler of Trevor; a brother, David (Lavon) Bearden of Washington, IL and a sister, Elsie Miller of Sorrento, IL. She is further survived by nine loving grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and William Bearden and four sisters, Lenora Bolin, Jennie Nau, Florence Hinkle and Mary Bearden in infancy.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Entombment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
Visitation:
A visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home, 3720 39th Avenue.
