This marriage, which occurred 19d 5m 1752 in Hingham brings about a very interesting situation. Although this is not the earliest marriage between descendants of John Sr. BEAL (bp. 1593) [link # 63360144], it is interesting in that Elisha is from generation 3 but Lydia was from generation 5 and that this marriage for the first time met that child would be born who be descended from both wives of John BEAL because Lydia was a descendant of Mary (BEAL) WHITON, John's daughter from his first marriage to Frances (RIPLEY) BEAL and Elisha was the son of Jacob Sr. BEAL who was the son of John BEAL & his second wife Nazareth (HOBART) BEAL. Sadly no children survived from Elisha & Lydia's marriage. Their one child, a son Elisha, was born the year after they were married but he died at less than one month of age. Elisha himself died in 1761 and has no living descendants today. Lydia survived him and subsequently remarried and had children and descendants from her second marriage.
