Mr. Downey, a retired farmer in the Jean area, lived in Graham. He moved to Graham in 1936 from Jean, Texas. Mr. Downey was a long time member of the Church of Christ. He served in the US Armed Forces in World War I.
Survived by three sons - Ray Downey, C.W. Downey, Jr and Marvin Downey; two daughters - Mrs. Ken Segars and Mrs. Sam Simpson; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
