LEESBURG — Eary A. Chancey, 88, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010.

Mrs. Chancey was born in Leaksville, MS, and moved to Leesburg from Pensacola in 1995. Eary's husband Paul was from Leesburg and it was always their official home. Eary moved with him as a "Military Wife" in the US Navy, their 3 sons are also retired military.

Survivors include her husband, Paul; sons Troy Allen, Guntersville, Ala., Frank W. Griffin, Wedowee, Ala., Thomas Griffin, Peyton, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Leesburg, with Pastor Andrew T. Reilley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 1650 W. Main St., No. 3, Leesburg, FL 34748.
