FRANCISCO EUGENIO CHAVEZ Francisco Eugenio Chavez, 87, died on January 15th in Albuquerque surrounded by his loving family. He was a life-long resident of Santa Fe/ Los Alamos. A W.W.II Veteran he served as a security officer with the National Labs at Los Alamos and was popularly known as Cisco or Gene. A loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he was preceded in death by his, wife Geneview. Surviving are his daughters: Ramona, Francesca, Elenore, Ana Regina, Maria Genevieve; and son, Gregory. Francisco Eugenio was the son of the late Fabian and Nicolasa Chavez. A family of ten he was preceded in death by his brothers: Fray Angelico, R.E. Cuate Chavez; and sisters: Martha, Nora, and Adela. Surviving are sister Maria Consuelo Gorski; and brothers: Fabian, Antonio (wife Marilyn), and Jose (wife Bernice). Catholic Mass services were held at Our Lady of Fatima in Albuquerque on January 18th. His cremated remains will be interred at Santa Fe National Cemetery in the near future.
