Born in Franklin County ,Arkansas on February 22,1861 he was the 2nd child of David Harris and Louvina J. Campbell. He married Lydia Jane Tucker in Ozark,Franklin Co. Arkansas in 1887. To that union were born 12 children, 5 sons and 7 daughters.David Crocket Harris,Sibbie Ella Harris, Andrew Jackson ( Jack ) Harris ,Mary Ann Harris , Lottie Florence Harris, Maggie Harris, Robert Jefferson "Bob" Harris, Wiliam Henry Harris, Helen Harris , Effie Harris , Viney Harris, Wesley Harris.They came to Texas By way of Oklahoma in 1904 they settled in the Montgomery County area.
