He was married on December 2, 1936 in Young County. He had lived all his life in Young County, was engaged in farming and ranching, and was a member of the First Christian Church. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, and served in the Army Air Force in World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Clarence of Newcastle; and his mother, Mrs. Alice Daniels of Olney.
