Charles B. Daniels, 79, president of the Newcastle Farmer's National Bank came to Young County with his parents in 1893. He lived in Newcastle, Texas since 1911. Charles entered the banking business in 1908. He served as vice-president for a number of years and eight years as president. He was a member of the Methodist Church. An extensive landowner, Daniels had considerable oil interests. For many years, he was a breeder of fine racehorses and known throughout the nation in the racing fraternity. He had been a delegate to the Democratic Party State Convention several times.
Survived by his wife; two sons - James Franklin Daniels and Clarence Daniels.
