Emelia is of Romanian descent. Born in Fleckthal, Russia.
She married Karl Edward Neugebauer in 1884 in Odessa, Ukraine.
Fleeing the Bolshevik Revolution, Karl and Emelia along with 6 of their 7 children(Sophia being their only daughter and child born in America)traveled to America on the ship "Carmania" arriving 17 Oct 1906 at Ellis Island.
The 1910 census shows the family living in Clinton, Oklahoma. Where they lived with her brother John until making their home 8 miles South of Indiahoma, Oklahoma.
Not as of yet proven, it is believed that Emelia Reuther and her mother-in-law, Ernestina Reuther are somehow related. Another school of thought is that Emelia and Karl are also cousins.
