Belle Chrisawn,95, of Cane Branch, died Tuesday, Feb.11,2003, at Spruce Pine Community Hospital.
A native of Yancey County, She was a daughter of the late John and Sallie Branch Duncan and wife of Carl Chrisawn, who died in 1983.She was also preceded in death by a son, Winslow Chrisawn, and a brother, Floyd Duncan.
She is survived by her daughter, June Johnson of Burnsville; son, John Lee "Smoky" Chrisawn and wife, Mary, of Manassas, VA.; daughter-in-law, Wreda Chrisawn of Manassas, VA;eight grandchildren;11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister Roxie Chrisawn of Columbia, S.C.; and brother Bill Duncan of Burbank, Calif.
The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crabtree Baptist Church, of which she was the oldest member. The Rev. Dale Banks will officiate. Burial will be in Micaville Cemetery.
