I Bernhard Albers, aged 58 years, occupation Grocer, do declare on oath that my personal description is; Color: white, Complexion:(unreadable word), Height: 5 feet 11 inches, Weight: 180 pounds, Color of Hair: Gray, Color of Eyes: Blue, Other visible distinctive marks: growth on forehead. I was born in Oldenburg, Germany on the 12th day of April 1860. I now reside at 3823 Missouri Ave., St Louis, Mo.. I emigrated to the United States of America from Amsterdam, Holland on the vessel, I do not remember; my last foreign address was Oldenburg, Germany. I am married; the name of my wife is Mary; she was born in Germany and resides with me. it is my bona fide intention to renounce forever all allegiance to any foreign prince, potentate,state of sovereignty and particularly to The Present German Zar of Germany, of whom I am now a subject; I arrived at the port of New York, in the State of New York, on or about the 8th day of September, 1882. I am not an anarchist; I am not a polygamist nor a believer in the practive of polygamy; and it is my intention in good faith to become a citizen of the United States of America and to permantly reside therin: So Help Me God.
