Mr. Josiah Drew, whose death occurred at the home of his son, J. W. Drew, Thursday, Feb. 7th, was born at Ashton, N. H., July 10, 1810, and was therefore 90 years 7 months and 27 days old at his death. Mr. Drew was married to Miss Cordelia Wallace at Dansville, Vermont. the union being blest with three sons and one daughter, two of whom, J. W. Drew, of Jasper and E. A. Drew, of Minneapolis, Kansas, are still living. Mr. Drew moved to Wisconsin where he lived for a number of hears, and about 30 years ago he removed to Minnesota. Twenty three years ago he settled in Eden Township, where he continued to live up to the time of his death. In politics Mr. Drew was a staunch Republican and ever took an active interest in local, state and national politics. At an early age he united with the Freewill Baptist Church, in which faith he continued to live to the time of his death as a faithful and conscientious member. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. Fisher, of thePresbyterian Church, and the remains laid in the Eden Township Cemetery, beside those of his wife who departed from this world, 13 years ago the 28th of the present month.
