Lillis Hayes Johnson, 75, passed away Monday, July 28 in the Caribou Memorial Hospital. She was born May 30, 1905 to Joseph Smith and Elizabeth Smit Hayes in Georgetown. She was an active member of the LDS Church and held many positions during her lifetime including ward organist for
many years. She married William George Johnson June 20, 1923 in the Salt Lake Temple He preceded her in death April
27,1980.
She also cooked for the school lunch program in Georgetown for several years.
Survivors include one son, William Russell Johnson, Georgetown; four grandchildren, two brothers, L.E. Hayes and W. W. Hayes, both Georgetown, two sisters, Evva Dalrymple, Soda Springs, and Mrs. Ed (Maude)Corbett,Salmon, Ida.; one half brother, Boyd Dimick, Desert Hot Springs,
Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, a twin sister, Lillian, and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 31 1 p.m. in the Georgetown LDS Ward chapel Friends may call at the chapel for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Georgetown Cemetery.
