Funeral for T.H. Jouett At Estelline
Funeral services for Thomas Hardin Jouett, 97, were to have been at 3:30 p.m. today at the Estelline High School Auditorium with Rev. Elva Johnson of Turkey officiating.
Burial was to have been in the Estelline cemetery under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home of Memphis.
Mr. Jouett died at approximately 9:15 a.m. Monday in Childress General Hospital.
He was born August 28, 1864, and married Miss Bell Izora Nelson January 1, 1891, in Murphy, Collins co, TX. She preceeded him in death in 1955.
A retired farmer, Mr. and Mrs. Jouett moved to Hall County in 1911.
Survivors include six sons, W.H., of Turkey, Z.H. of Georgetown, Jim of Parnell, John of Clovis, Joe of Estelline, Edgar of Almagordo, New Mex.; four daughters, Mrs. A.T. Metcalf of Clovis, New Mex., Mrs. L.R. Tipton of Lamesa, Mrs. Jim Burk of Parnell and Mrs. W.F. Armstrong of White Deer; one brother, Joe Jouett of Arkansas; 44 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren.
