Funeral services for Edd [sic] Bragg, 78, retired carpenter were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 16, in the Estelline Church of Christ with the Rev. E.G. Johnson officiating.
Burial was in the Hulver Cemetery under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home.
Mr. Bragg passed away Saturday in Hall County Hospital here.
John Edgar Gragg was born April 17, 1895, in Denton County and had been a resident of Hall County for 58 years. A member of the Christian Church, he was united in marriage to Clara Ovell Conaway Sept. 12, 1915, at Lewisville.
Survivors include: his wife of the home; two sons, Herman of Kirkland and Ben W. of Estelline; two daughters, Mrs. Ovell Thrasher of Buckeye, Ariz., and Mrs. Iona Longbine of Estelline; one sister, Mrs. Doll Edmond of Happy; 26 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pall bearers were grandsons and included: John Edgar Bragg, Eddie Jack Bragg, Daniel Ray Longbine, Grady Leon Bragg, Gayland Wayne Bragg and David Paul Longbine.
Honorary pall bearers were Jack Nelson, Bill Diggs, Travis Morrison, O.C. Payne, Jess Hudlow and E.O. Wright.
