Frieda Sophia Louise Hobelmann, daughter of George and Anna Hoops Bostelmann, was born July 31, 1905, a mile east of Byron, Nebraska, and died December 29, 1996, at Parkview Haven, Deshler, Nebraska, at the age of 91 years, four months, and 29 days.
She attended country school at Ash Grove. She attended the ninth grade at Hebron Academy at Hebron, Nebraska, and was in the first class of 10 year graduates in 1923 when the Byron Schools added those grades.
She was united in marriage to Harold Hobelmann on November 18, 1928, at St John's Lutheran Church, Byron, Nebraska and to this union five children were born.
They farmed all of their life, living almost all of those years on the family farm south of Byron.
She was a member of Abiding Word Lutheran Church, Deshler, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Dwayne Morris, daughter Lois, and grandson, Stanley Ross Hobelmann, and a brother, August Bostelmann.
She is survived by her husband, Harold, sons, Delmar, Byron, Nebraska; Dean, Republic, Kansas; Wayne, Kansas City, Kansas; sister, Irene Hobelmann, Hebron, Nebraska; ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 1997, at 2 p.m. at the Abiding Word Lutheran Church, Deshler, Nebraska, with Rev. Joseph Schultz officiating.
Interment is at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Byron, Nebraska.
