Mr. Roy Othel Mounts, age 83, a resident of Dierks, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at his home. He was born June 28, 1921 in Burg, Arkansas. He was a retired Foreman for Weyerhaeuser, a cattle rancher, a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Dierks Church of Christ where he was an elder. Mr. Mounts was preceded in death by his parents, Tessie and Estella Simmons Mounts. He is survived by his wife, Helen Chandler Mounts; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Joyous Mounts, and Randy and Rosemary Mounts, all of Murfreesboro, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Burl Krantz of Umpire, Arkansas; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Dierks Church of Christ with James McRae, minister, officiating. Burial will follow in the Burg Cemetery.
