Ruth Marie (Crow) Brinlee, passed away February 6, 2011 at Holdenville General Hospital. She was born May 7, 1922 to Bufford and Jewell (Griffin) Crow in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She attended schools in Allen, Jackson, and Spaulding. Ruth married Glen C. Brinlee on June 22, 1944. She worked as a seamstress for Seampruff and retired after 23 years with Lillian Russell Mfg. Ruth worked as a cook for Holdenville Public Schools and as a home care provider for Med Care Plus of McAlester, Oklahoma. Mrs. Brinlee fully retired in 2004 at the age of 82 years. Ruth loved her church and church family. She was a member of Capital Heights Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed singing the choir, studying the bible and teaching Sunday school. Ruth's pass times were reading and sewing. She was a wonderful cook. She loved to cook, can, and make pies. But, most of all she loved spending time with her family. She loved hearing and telling stories of her children and grandchildren. Ruth will be greatly missed, but will live in our hearts forever.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; Bufford and Jewell Crow, her husband; Glen Brinlee; one son; Johnny Brinlee; two brothers; Alvin Crow and Tommy Gene Crow.

Ruth is survived by her four sons; Donny Crow and wife Barbara of Hamilton, NC.; Larry Brinlee and wife Ruth of Yulee, Florida; Gary Brinlee and wife Joyce of Holdenville, Oklahoma; Jerry Brinlee and wife Connie of Muskogee, Oklahoma; one daughter in law; Francis Brinlee of Nashville, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and (5) fifth generation grandchildren; three sisters; JoAnn Kelly and husband Clyde of Holdenville; Ellen Flowers of Norman; Sue Sanders of Oklahoma City; two brothers; Jimmy Crow and wife Jennene of Kalispel, Montana; Bill Crow and wife Jerry of Kalispel, Montana; special nephew; Billy Dale Patterson and wife Tina of Yukon, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be 1:00PM Friday, February 11, 2011 at Capital Heights Missionary Baptist Church in Holdenville. Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery. Pallbearer's will be Ron Cherry, Mike Epperley, Dean Goforth, Bruce Epperley, and Ben Heaster. Honoaray Pallbearer's are Steve Hearn and Benny Miller; Services are under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home
