Mrs. Magdalen C. Kolb, 75, of 1422 Green Berry Rd., died Sunday at a local hospital. She was born March 22, 1896 at Wardsville, the daughter of Fred and Catherine Schneiders Markway. On Jan. 25, 1916, she was married in St. Louis to Jacob B. Kolb, who survives.
Other survivors include: Six sons, James F. Kolb, Cletus A. Kolb, Charles J. Kolb, Paul H. Kolb, Herbert A Kolb, and Robert W. Kolb; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Mary Vignola, and Mrs. Irma Mae Schleer; one brother, Ben S. Markway; two sisters, Mrs. Leo DeBroeck, and Mrs. Roy Stockman; 32 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Kolb was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Chruch, St. Ann's Sodality, Past Regeant of Daughters of Isabella, Past President of American War Mothers and a member of the St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Gerold Kaiser, the Rev. Fred Yehle, and the Rev. Patrick Pierceall officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Helias High School.
