WARNER ROBINS Gerald Watson Askew, 74, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 23, 2008 in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 â?? 9 PM Friday evening at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Askew, a native of Soperton, Georgia, was the son of the late Charlie and Annie Laura Smith Askew. He was a veteran of the United States Army, retired from the Army reserve, a retired equipment specialist working 38 years at Robins Air Force Base, member of the Tyrian Masonic Lodge III, longtime member of Georgia High School Umpire and Referee Association and attended Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Tina Askew Oâ??Guin of Lawrenceville, GA and Jerry Askew of Dacula, GA. Three sisters, Mae, Sara, Ruth, one brother, Charles and 9 grandchildren.
