Marcelle Cason Pirkle, of 105 Mt. Vernon Road, answered her Lord's calling on December 27, 2007.
Born April 24, 1921 to the late George and Minnie Belue Campbell. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
Surviving are her husband of 24 years, William H. Pirkle of the home; four children, James and Judy Cason of Taylors, Gene and Jane Cason of Saluda, Barry and Patti Cason and Marsha and Tim Rhymer of Greer; and a daughter-in-law, Carol B. Cason of Greer.
Mema leaves behind nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, whom she loved and adored.
She was a member of Praise Cathedral by which her life was blessed and her heart filled with love for her many friends and "adopted children."
Marcelle was predeceased by her children's father, James Marvin Cason; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Caroline Cason.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 30, 2007, from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at Praise Cathedral with funeral services following at 3 p.m. conducted by Rev. Jerry Madden. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Marcus, Russ, Seth, Matthew, and Tyler Cason and Brent Rhymer.
The family is at the home.
