Arthur James Donaldson, who operated a transfer business in Kittanning for many years, died in Armstrong County Hospital on Sunday afternoon, December 1, 1946 at 1 p.m. Mr. Donaldson, whose home address was 1107 Orr Avenue, was aged 61 years having been born on January 31, 1885. He was a son of the late James and Lola (McDoole) Donaldson. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bessie Donaldson and six children: Dorothy at home, Mrs. Charles Toy, Cleveland, OH, Mrs. Charles Bellas, Kittanning, James, Mrs. Walter Lemmon, and Lola, all at home. Other survivors are six grandchildren; five brothers and three sisters: Herbert, New Kensington, Mrs. William McGarvey, Los Angeles, CA, Donald, Washington, D.C., Clyde, New Kensington, John, Wooster, OH, Mrs. Jay Brennen, Van Nuys, CA, Harry, Beverly Hills, CA, and Mrs. Roy Chase, Wooster, OH. Friends will be received in the late home, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Wilford O. Cross rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be made in Kittanning Cemetery.
