Edward Gault HUSTON "Papaw" is the son of Joseph Huston and Martha (Elder) Huston, who are buried in Blanchard Cemetery. He married Sarah Louise DEARDORFF on 10 Jul 1907 in Clarinda, Page Co., Iowa. Edward was employed as Supt., in the Water District in Robstown, Nueces Co., Texas.

BIOGRAPHY: Edward Gault Huston's family had come west from Pennsylvania, where many of the Huston/Houston clan had migrated from Ireland. In 1909, Edward sold a brick-making business that he owned with his brother Ralph, and brought his wife and infant son, to south Texas.

They settled in an area being developed by Robert Driscoll and bought land near present-day Petronilla.
