Mrs. Ellen Lucille Bailey, age 91 of Mountain Home passed away Friday, January 15, 2010 at Twin Lakes Nursing Center.

Ellen was born October 25, 1918 in Topeka, Kansas to Bird Lafayette Phillips and Florence Nightingale (Forbes) Phillips.

She married Burwell Rolland Bailey September 15, 1940 in Topeka.

She was a homemaker and worked over 15 years for Hewlett-Packard and briefly as a medical assistant. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Camper Club in Colorado, and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bailey is survived by 3 sons: Dr. Rolland (Tresia) Bailey of Flippin, Mike (Lori) Bailey of Chandler, AZ, and Eddy (Carole) Bailey of Flippin; 7 grandchildren: Dr. Leah Bailey Turner, Major Marc Bailey, Brittany Bailey, Matthew Bailey, Nicholas Bailey, Katherine Herren, and Ann-Marie Koger; 5 great-grand-children: Rowan Turner, Celeste Turner, Drake Turner, Haley Herren, and Skylar Herren; 2 sisters: Joanne Gerety and Dorothy Priddy; and 1 brother, Robert Phillips, all of Topeka; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.

Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, between Flippin and Bull Shoals.
