Claude Hart was 24 years old when his father died. He was unmarried at this time but was exempted from the war (WWI) in order to help his mother at home since she still had 3 children in school. In 1918 he married Madge Spriggs. In the 1930 U.S. Census, Claude and Madge lived in Plain Township, Stark County, Ohio. They lived in a rented house for $30/month and had been married for 12 years. Claude worked as a repairman for Radio Service.
He and Madge eventually divorced and Claude moved out west. According to the California Death Index, 1940-1997, he died in Lake, California on August 7, 1953.
