In 1918 he married Madge Spriggs. In the 1930 U.S. Census, Claude and Madge lived in Plain Township, Stark County, Ohio. They lived in a rented house for $30/month and had been married for 12 years. Claude worked as a repairman for Radio Service.
He and Madge eventually divorced and Claude moved out west. According to the California Death Index, 1940-1997, he died in Lake, California on August 7, 1953.
