Warren was born in Venango Township and died in the United Community Hospital in Grove City. He was a truck driver for Montgomery Block of Harrisville, and formerly was a self-employed farmer, dairy inspector, and tool dresser in the oil fields of New York.

He was a member of Harrisville United Methodist Church for more than 75 years. He was an usher at the church for many years, a member of the Men's Bible Club, Cedar Lodge 800 of Grove City and the New Castle Consistory (a member of Mount Calvary Commanders 67, Mount Royal Arch Chapter 212 and Sharon Council 48, all of Greenville.)

He was also a former school board president of Harrisville schools and helped with the transition when Harrisville merged with Slippery Rock schools.

He married Kathryn Sibyl (Winder) Stauffer on July 5, 1996. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Blanche (Bartley) Critchlow, whom he married on Feb. 15, 1934.

The Rev. Richard Phipps, his grandson, conducted his final services at the Harrisville United Methodist Church.
