Mary/Marie [Mariken] Wilhelmina Timm Kirby was born 4 June, 1871 in Dixon (Silveyville), CA. She was the daughter of Hans Timm and Gretchen Weise Timm, German immigrants from Schleswig-Holstein who had a farm in Dixon (aka "Silveyville," aka "Tremont").

Her siblings were:

Peter Timm (1857-1915)
Agnes Timm (Hartmann) (1860-1930)
Caroline Josephine Timm (Higgins) (1867-1959)
Cecelia "Cecie" E Timm (1868-1930)
Charles Richard Timm (1874-1933)
Bertha E Timm (Faller) (1880-1961)

Mary married Charles Martin Kirby, son of Abraham Kirby, proprietor of the Dixon Drug Company, in 1902. They resided on A Street in Dixon.

Her 3 children were:

Linton Timm Kirby (1905-1990)
Gretchen HELENE Kirby [Rohwer] (1907-2008)
Barbara "Bobbie" Marie Kirby [Nosler] (1908-1985)

According to family oral history, she died at age 54 of breast cancer, after what must have been a rather primitive mastectomy surgery for the time. Her daughters were 17 and 18 at the time of her death.
