Edward E. McKim, 77, resident of Cambridge for 26 years, died Thursday at 8 p.m. at his home, 717 Grant Ave., following an illness lasting two years. His condition had been serious the past two months.
Born on May 1, 1868 at North Salem, a son of Martin V. and Hannah Carnes McKim, he was married on June 6, 1895 to Elizabeth C. Needs who survives. He was stone mason by trade and was a member of the First U.B. church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Arthur J. and Roy E., Cambridge; four brothers, Charles, San Jose, Calif., Walter, Hollister, Calif., T. Alva and Joseph, Cambridge; two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Olmstead and Mrs. Charles Boyd, Cambridge, and seven grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister are deceased. Charles McKim and wife, Sarah, were here at the time of Mr. McKim's death.
The body was returned to the home Friday afternoon from the McCracken funeral home.
