Willard Lee Christensen, son of Oscar and Thora Petersen Christensen, was born October 20, 1931 on a farmstead near Ruskin, NE. He entered into his heavenly home with God on December 5, 2003.

Willard was baptized November 22, 1931 by Reverend Carl Nielsen at rural Bethany Lutheran Church, Ruskin, NE. He was confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Bethany on June 9, 1946. He remained a faithful member of Bethany until the time of his death. Willard attended elementary school at the rural Wiemer Country School and graduated from Ruskin High School in 1949. Following graduation, he continued the family tradition of farming, by working side-by-side with his father the first few years. One of his greatest joys was working with his sons and grandson in the business of caring for the land. He continues his love of farming through this fall's harvest.
