Pearl Braswell Burke

January 23, 1904 – September 29, 1994

Pearl Braswell Burke 90, of Bainbridge, Georgia died Thursday in Bainbridge.

The service will be a 2 P.M., Saturday at Cox Funeral Home in Bainbridge (921-246-4411), with burial at Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Miller County, Georgia. 

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. today at the funeral home.

Her parents were Early Right Braswell and Susie Maggie Nobles Braswell, and she was born in Iron City, Decatur County Georgia. A native of Coffee County, Alabama, she had lived in Bainbridge for 24 years. She was a homemaker and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia.

She is survived by a son, Tommy Burke of Columbus; a daughter, Dorothy Norris of Bainbridge; two sisters, Callie Mae Maddox and Rena Spence both of Colquitt, Georgia; 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.at
