William Wayne Love, 83, of Gaston, IN, passed away peacefully Friday, December 18, 2009 at Morrison Woods Health Care in Muncie. He was born on April 22, 1926 in Gaston to the late Barclay and Ruth (Carmen) Love.
William entered the Navy and served his county during WWII. William then became self employed with Love Painting and Maintenance. He also loved to travel to Hawaii and Europe. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, Model-T cars, and creating stained-glass pieces. He was a former Cub Scout Master. And above all, he loved and cherished his family and grandchildren.
William is survived by his three sons: Jay Love (wife, Christie) of Indianapolis, IN; Jeffrey Love (wife, Brenda) of Muncie, IN; and Jim Love of Muncie, IN; daughter-in-law Kyle Love of Gaston, IN; 9 grandchildren: Bradley Love (wife, Elizabeth); Katie Hendrickson (husband, Ross); Patrick Love; Joshua Love; Jennifer Love; Lyndsey Love; Angela Love; Jacob Love; and Jaclyn Love; and great-granddaughter Eleanor Hendrickson.
William was preceded in death by his parents; and son Jack Love.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 21, 2009, from 4:00—8:00 p.m at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, will Military honors given by Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard. Pastor Carl Lamb will officiate the service.
