Services were at 2 p.m. Friday at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. W. H. (Belle) Thorne, 93, resident of Retreat, who died Wednesday at Paulyne Convalescent Home.
The Rev. Eugene Wood and the Rev. Jim Carraway officiated, with burial following at Oakwood Cemetery.
She was born March 8, 1885 in Lamar County and had lived at Retreat for 22 years.
Survivors include one son, James R. Thorne of Midland; two daughters, Mrs. Roberta Garner and Mrs. Berniece Mosley both of Corsicana; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Slate, Rex French, Roy Reed, Buddie McCulloch, Clarence Putman and Howe French.
