WABASHA, Minn - Mrs Frances Decker, Wabasha, former resident of Hollydale, Calif. died Monday at Wabasha Nursing Home where she had been a resident 2 1/2 years. The daughter of Christian and Wilhelmina (Scherlitz) Funk, she was born in Wabasha Feb 2. 1886
She married John H. Balow in Wabasha in 1920 [sic 1911]. They were later divorced. She married Clarence Decker in 1946. He died in 1963. She returned to Wabasha in 1974.
Survivors are: a son, Jack Balow, Wabasha; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs Lavina Hanson, Venice, Calif.
Three brothers and seven sisters have died.
Funeral services will be at 11am Thursday at St Felix Catholic Church. Wabasha, with burial in the church cemetery Friends may call Wednesday after 2 p m and until time of services Thursday at Abbott-Wise Funeral Home. Wabasha, where a Rosary by the parish council will be at 3 and the parish Rosary at 8 p m Wednesday.
